A great capper to our San Diego trip was the surprizing visit to La Jolla.  We encountered sea lions and many sea birds.  We also had a great dinner at George's at the Cove.

There's a lot to see in Balboa Park, perhaps just too much for one day.  We weren't in the mode for museums, so we focused on the outdoor attractions on this beautiful San Diego late fall day.

Sailing on the San Diego Harbor was fun and relaxing.  We got to see some unexpected sights, though dolphins were nowhere to be found on this day.

San Diego Zoo

This zoo is indeed big with lots of animals to see.  Alice and I spent a day here, but it seems like two days is more practical to see everything at a reasonable pace and planning.  We missed a lot of the famous animals, unfortunately. The zoo is big and incredible.
